Introducing visiting scholar Prof. Jean-Philippe Gastellu-Etchegorry

Prof. Jean-Philippe Gastellu-Etchegorry is currently visiting the discipline of spatial sciences as an UTAS visiting scholar. Jean-Philippe is professor of physics and remotesensing at the Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France. He conducts research in radiative transfer modelling, simulating the reflectance, apparent temperature and radiative environment of natural vegetated and urban environments.
He is author of the remote sensing model DART, which was applied in many studies, as for instance retrieval of biophysical and biochemical properties of forests from satellite images as inputs for ecosystem modelling. If you like to discuss in person with Jean-Philippe any remote sensing modelling related topic, please do not hesitate to contact zbynek.malenovsky@utas.edu.au.

Professor Jean-Philippe Gastellu-Etchegorry will give a seminar talk entitled: Discrete Anisotropic Radiative Transfer Modelling for Remote Sensing Applications on Thursday 4th April 2019, 4pm, Sandy Bay Campus, Geography and Spatial Sciences (building no. 12), room no. 106 (level 1).
