Behavioural Insights

Understand how behavioural concepts impact individual and group decision making. This specialisation allows you to develop knowledge-based skills to analyse social and/or economic challenges arising in different contexts, and behavioural solutions to these challenges based on the analysis.

Build on your understanding of major technological trends in the banking and finance sector. You'll be able to solve sophisticated financial problems using cutting-edge financial technologies.

Develop knowledge-based skills to enhance the understanding and implementation of sustainable investments. Understand how finance can positively contribute to human well-being, social equity, and the environment.

Course breakdown

The Master of Finance degree consists of 10 core units, plus you'll choose from a range of elective units. In addition, for those studying a Master of Finance (Specialisation), you will also need to choose a specialisation in your area of interest.

The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Finance consist of core units and offer the opportunity to complete a postgraduate qualification in Finance, either alone or as a pathway to future studies.

200 credit points

You will complete the following transition units:

  • Data and Business Decision Making
  • Economics for Managers
  • Principles of Financial Management
  • Accounting and Accountability for Decision Making

You will complete the following core units:

  • Corporate Finance
  • Behavioural Finance
  • Derivatives
  • Investment Planning

You will choose one of the following specialisation units:

  • Behavioural  Insights
  • FinTech
  • Sustainable Finance

You will complete 50 credit points of Research/project units, including an option for the student to select either a Research Project or an equivalent project undertaken as a Corporate Internship (Research Block)

Graduate Diploma of Finance

100 credit points

To graduate from the Graduate Diploma of Finance course, you will complete 50 credit points of transition units and 50 credit points of core unit.

To graduate from the Graduate Certificate in Finance course, you will complete 50 credit points of transition units.
