What can I study?

We offer two pathways to build a professional accounting career – the Master of Professional Accounting or the Master of Professional Accounting (Specialisation). Specialisations include:

Advanced Accounting – Launceston and Distance

Take your accounting skills to the next level. This specialisation is ideal for students who intend to take their CPA exams in future after building up some work experience rather than completing them as part of your degree.

Business Management – Hobart and Distance

Diversify your skill set with additional business management topics including entrepreneurship, sales, and people management.

Marketing – Hobart and Distance

Complement your accounting skills with a range of marketing topics including sales, digital marketing, and business-to-business marketing.

CPA Extension - Hobart

Complete your Master's degree alongside the CPA Program and get a competitive advantage over your peers.

Professional Recognition

Students with a recognised undergraduate or masters degree or approved graduate certificate who complete this course are eligible for membership of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). This course is accredited with the professional accounting bodies in Australia.

Entry requirements

An undergraduate or Masters degree in a non-accounting discipline, or equivalent, from an approved tertiary institution; or

a Graduate Certificate, or equivalent, from an approved tertiary institution; or

qualifications, relevant work experience or other special circumstances, as approved by the Executive Dean or delegated authority.

English language requirements

For those applicants who are nationals of and currently residing in a country where English is not the official language, evidence of an IELTS or TOEFL test must be provided. For full details, refer to English language requirements.
