Where is it?

Building O, Level 1, Queen Elizabeth Walk (beside UniShop) Newnham campus 

What is it for?

This space is for short-term use by students and staff as a shop front or retail space. 

Uses could include club and society sign-ups, art or product exhibition space, a delegated pick-up or drop-off area or product sales. Could also include services by Uniprint, the Co-op Bookshop, the Uni Shop, Library or Student Centre or student entrepreneurial or cultural projects.

How do I book it?

Via the temporary stall booking form.

What are the conditions of use?

There is no cost for hire for University of Tasmania students and staff. 

The venue must be left in a clean and tidy condition and any damage reported. Additional charges may be incurred by the user for additional clean-up, portering, and repairs outside expected/normal use.

Maximum booking period: 2 weeks (This may be repeated, subject to availability). Consecutive-day bookings that do not utilise the space may be asked to surrender their booking. 

Minimum booking period: 1 hour

Subject to normal venue hire conditions.

Note: This space is not intended as an office, hot desk, or additional day-to-day faculty or school space. It is also not to be used as a store room or be allocated to a particular group or person for long-term use.

The space may be used for food sale or preparation, with associated licences and permits in place, but cooking in the space is prohibited.
