Step 1: Find your course

To find the range of courses available at the University College, go to utas.edu.au/college and browse through our range of associate degrees, diplomas and pathway programs like the University Preparation Program (UPP) and Diploma of University Studies (DUS).

Step 2: Include a few more options

When applying for study, you can select up to five course preferences in your application, so make sure to include any other courses that may be of interest to you. If you are unsure whether you will be eligible to receive an offer into the course of your choice, simply include one of our pathway programs (UPP and DUS) as another preference.

Step 3: Check the important dates

Make sure you check the key application dates so you can see when applications open and close.

Step 4: Make the most of your experience- apply for a scholarship

As part of the University of Tasmania, you have access to a wide range of scholarships that can help you financially and provide great assistance you during your studies. We encourage everyone to apply!

Step 5: See if you may be able to apply for recognition for prior learning

Did you know you might be able to receive credit for previous studies or work experience? This credit may count towards your selected course, which means you won’t need to complete all the subjects or units listed for the course. To receive credit for prior learning, you need to submit a separate application for credit in addition to your to your course application.

Step 6: Enrol

If you have applied to study at University College and have received an offer, you will need to accept your offer and enrol in your first year subjects/units. Students are responsible for enrolling in their units before the cut-off date.

  • Please note that accepting your offer does not mean that you will automatically be enrolled in your units.
