Full-time students will enrol in FSA779 and FSA781 concurrently in the same semester; and part-time students will enrol in FSA779 and FSA781 over two consecutive semesters.
Professional Practices aims to facilitate students' creative capacity and skills development to enable them to produce professional art, design, theoretical or curatorial work through the development and realisation of one or more self-directed projects. Projects are supervised by academic staff from one of the following disciplines: Art and Design Theory, Curatorial Studies, Drawing, Electronic Media, 3D Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Public Art, Sculpture, and Visual Communication.

FSA779 AND FSA771
You cannot enrol in this unit as well as the following:
A weekly seminar program of student led presentations, discussions and group critiques. Regular supervisory meetings by arrangement.
Commenced in FSA779 and completed in FSA781. The final submission consisting of an appropriately documented self-directed project (90%) and a 1,000 word project summary (10%) will be examined at the conclusion of FSA781. Assessed by relevant studio and/or theory staff and the coursework postgraduate coordinator.
