Process Engineering, Improvement & Innovation BAA521

Introduction

This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to undertake the local level review and further development of an existing continuous improvement process. The twin themes of "innovation" and "improvement", in both product and process, will be identified and the participants encouraged to identify how and where to implement the approaches in their organisations. Emphasis will be placed on the application of these concepts in real business situations, and the unit participants will be encouraged to contextualise their learning by the use of problem based learning approaches.
