Mathematics 1B KMA554

Successful completion of this unit supports your development of Mathematics core knowledge and skills. Through the development of this knowledge and skills you will have the necessary mathematics content and understanding of the nature of Mathematics for contributing to your development as a mathematics teacher.

This unit is a continuation of KMA552, with emphasis on the application of single-variable calculus and linear algebra to problems in the physical and biological sciences, economics, and engineering.

The units KMA552 and KMA554 also provide an excellent introduction to the mathematical rigour required for higher level mathematics based subjects.

Please check that your computer meets the minimum System Requirements if you are attending via Distance/Off-Campus.

Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.

Special approval is required for enrolment into TNE Program units.

TNE Program units special approval requirements.
