At the completion of this unit students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to construct written arguments suited to the academic environment. This includes dissecting, analysing and synthesising information, including complex arguments; reconstructing information to form new meanings; planning and constructing logical and connected prose; and writing using standard academic conventions. They will have the skills to analyse and reflect on their own work and continue to develop expertise in writing as they progress further with their studies.
