Students will learn about the impacts of policies, politics and land-rights whilst valuing the knowledges and life experiences that the students bring to the unit whilst providing yarning opportunities to share these perspectives. Students will develop their writing, research and critical thinking skills through a range of assessments in the classroom and “On Country” whilst examining how ‘Connection to Country’ and cultural practise has changed over time and its role in Aboriginal advancement and self-empowerment.
