The University Preparation Program provides an opportunity for everyone to study at university. Delivered on campus or fully online, the program is flexible and is available for full-time and part-time students. Our units are designed to prepare students for whatever pathway they choose, whether that be a bachelor or associate degree, diploma, certificate, or a job.

Course objectives
The University Preparation Program aims to explore learning content vital for success in different areas of study, as well as expose students to learning strategies that develop confidence and a sense of belonging.
Our units encompass the fields of writing, research, communication, mathematics, science, and learning theory. These units will develop students as strengths-based learners who can critically reflect on their unique learning journey. Students will be able to apply this knowledge to their future pathway.

Entry requirements
For Domestic students
This course is designed for applicants who do not meet general entry requirements for their chosen degree or who want a more supported or graded introduction to university study. There are no formal entry requirements for UPP.
Credit transfer
Passes in units in other incomplete courses in this University or another approved tertiary institution may be credited towards the course and a course plan developed to detail the units required by the student to complete the course. The maximum credit granted will be in accordance with the limits as stated in Rule 6: Admission, Assessment and Student Progress.
Articulation
If students demonstrate capacity to successfully study (attain a credit grade or above) in four (4) foundation level (000) units in their first semester of study, we propose that they are ‘fast-tracked’ into full-time study in their chosen diploma, associate degree or bachelor course. This will be explored with Colleges prior to end 2020.
