Offered via MyLO only. Offered subject to sufficient enrolment numbers.

Risk Management of organisations is about minimising adversity and maximising the probability that business can continue to operate in periods of unavoidable adversity. This unit will provide an introduction to the principles and processes involved in risk management, and explore issues relevant to corporate governance and business continuity. Study is framed around concepts set out in important benchmarks, including Australian/International Standards, regulatory obligations and lessons highlighted by past incidents and disasters. Specific areas of study include, but are not limited to, organisations' technology, human resources, environment and emergency management.
