The Future of Human Resource Management BMA336

Introduction

The way workforces are structured and organised is changing. This unit introduces and assesses future trends in human resource management in light of the key contemporary drivers of organisational change. The unit investigates the influence of digitisation and the ongoing transformation of the HR function. Students will explore the nature of future workforces, skills, transitions and job displacement. Developments in labour markets will be analysed in terms of increasing globalisation and the ongoing international division of labour. Topics surveyed will also include graduate destinations and outcomes, and the future of careers in human resource management.
