Communication Skills in Practice UPP017
Introduction
This unit introduces you to a range of communication skills, techniques and practices, that enable effective participation in the university environment, workplace and community. You will also learn about communication strategies and styles that are needed in these various contexts. Through the completion of various individual and team-based activities, you will develop confidence, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Major tasks in this unit include a research task, group presentation and reflection, through which you will explore characteristics of communication practice, present logical arguments in a range of formats, work collaboratively, and critically reflect on experiences.
