This is an alternative final year of the Bachelor of Education course; which is offered to eligible students. This course is offered internally at Launceston.

The Bachelor of Education (Honours) prepares students for teaching in specialisations in Health and Physical Education and Outdoor Education. The course provides students with the opportunity to engage in educational research at an appropriate level as preparation for future higher degree study

Career outcomes

The course prepares students for teaching in the secondary specialisations, Health & Physical Education, Design & Technology, and Outdoor Education. The course provides students with the opportunity to engage in educational research at an appropriate level as preparation for future higher degree study. Employment opportunities in other communication-based careers have been obtained by past graduates. A first class or second class upper division award within this course provides a pathway into doctoral level study.
