Note:

Introduction

In this unit, you will demonstrate the ability to purposefully and meaningfully engage with Standards 1, 2 and 3 from the National Professional Standards for teachers. Structured around reflective and deliberative practice, the unit is designed to facilitate the demonstration of the desired learning outcomes within your ePortfolio. The learning portfolio is both a learning strategy and form of assessment which facilitates the development of teacher competencies. Through the documentation in the portfolio you will be afforded the opportunity to be aware of the significance and impact of your teaching and learning activities. The learning portfolio is where you tease out, develop and test the frameworks needed for reflection and evaluation, which in turn builds your capacity to reflect on and articulate clearly your skills; how and where the skills were learned and where they can be applied.
