Professional Experience 2 (Secondary) EMT528

Introduction

The first Professional Experience (PE1) provides pre-service teachers the opportunity to become familiar with the school context. PE1 primarily involves active observation, discussions with the colleague teacher and initial school experiences. 

This placement is undertaken in Semester 2 only, in accordance with the Professional Experience Calendar. All students must be aware of the scheduled Professional Experience dates and be prepared to undertake a placement during the scheduled time. The dates of Professional Experience may only be changed in exceptional, unplanned circumstances. Date variations are assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Coordinator, Professional Experience in accordance with the Professional Experience Guidelines. Variations can be submitted via the Variation Request Form.
