PE1 primarily involves active observation of learners and learning, participation in planning for teaching and learning through discussions with colleague teachers and increasing responsibilities for implementing planned teaching activities, episodes, lessons and lesson sequences to groups of various sizes, ranging from individual through to whole-class delivery. The placement is conducted over the course of four weeks (20 days) on a full-time and continuous basis.
