Introduction
This unit investigates the implementation of current digital technologies in TESOL and considers the future of language learning and teaching utilising technology. The unit will include: Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), affordances of digital technologies and applications, Second-Language Acquisition (SLA) and theoretical basis for using digital technologies in language teaching, particularly in the context of TESOL, as well as future research trends.

- Effectively communicate key ideas relating to theory and practice in CALL, demonstrating constructive engagement with the wider professional community.
- Apply advanced knowledge of a range of digital technologies to teaching English as a second or foreign language practice.
