Introduction
This unit will provide an opportunity for students to reflect on the nature of mathematics, what it means to learn and to do mathematics, and the nature of thinking that is inherently mathematical. Students will consider a range of views of the nature of mathematics and will be encouraged to make links to their own current and previous experiences of learning mathematics and to consider implications for the development of their own and others' mathematical thinking. They will engage in mathematical thinking at an appropriate level and reflect on that experience.
