Ensemble Skills 3 FCE234
Introduction
This unit continues the development of ensemble skills in performance and/or music production. In this unit students consolidate the processes of preparation and performance and/or production through participation in one of a varied set of ensembles. Students are expected to engage in the rehearsal process, identifying and detailing chosen rehearsal strategies to improve collaborative performance/production. A focus in this unit is developing individual and collaborative skills to work cohesively in an ensemble.

Learning Outcomes
- Through performance and rehearsal, develop musical ideas to aid in participation in a musically cohesive ensemble
- Contribute and apply relevant information pertaining to repertoire and performance practice in a collaborative setting
- Identify knowledge and skills required within a group setting to define genre appropriate problems associated with ensemble work
- Extend performance/production skills to contribute to final ensemble outcome.
