Introduction

Music Technology Projects 1 is a year 11/12 University Connections Program course designed to build upon existing knowledge and experience to develop your awareness of what is required for musical expression utilising a range of music technologies, as well as how and why this might be achieved at a professional level. Using industry standard audio design tools, you will engage in problem-based learning requiring you to analyse, experiment with, reflect on, revise and develop your craft and skill as music technologists.

Teaching Pattern

The course is delivered in the same manner as a year 11/12 Pre-tertiary TCE subject to ensure students receive the breadth of teaching and learning support over a whole school year (4.5hrs per week over approximately 30 weeks).

Assessment

Module 1: Workplace Health & Safety/Studio familiarisation written assignment and one completed practical project brief (15%)

Module 2 – One completed project brief selected from Module 2 (30%)

Module 3 – One completed project brief selected from Module 3 (40%)

Module 4 – One completed project brief from Module 4 (15%).
