Full-time students will enrol in FSA782 and FSA783 concurrently in the same semester; and part-time students will enrol in FSA782 and FSA783 over two consecutive semesters.
Introduction
Professional Practices 2A & 2B aims to facilitate your creative capacity and skills development to enable you to produce professional art, design or curatorial work through the development and realisation of one or more self-directed projects. Projects are supervised by academic staff and developed within one of the following specialisations: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Time Based Media, Visual Communication and 3D Design. In Professional Practices 2A & 2B you will continue to clarify and advance your MFAD project/s by building on your contextual, theoretical and studio-based investigations as outlined in your proposal, completed in Professional Practices 1A & 1B. You will continue to develop and refine one or more self-directed projects towards final resolution as a body of exhibition work in Professional Practices 3A & 3B. In addition to creating a portfolio of visual work, you will maintain a journal documenting primary and secondary research and write a brief summary of your progress.
