This unit has been discontinued.
Competency in file management and general computer usage is required to do this unit.
Introduction
This unit provides an introduction to digital layout software tools and processes used by print designers for laying out documents. Common commercial software tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign are introduced through this unit, but the emphasis of the unit is upon developing an understanding of the underlying principals and terminology used in managing design workflow from brief to print production.
This unit is a complement (not a substitute) for FSG111 Visual Communication 1, particularly suited for those intending to undertake a major in Visual Communication who are lacking in previous experience with design software.
