Introduction
In undertaking this unit students build on their acquired skills to explore sculpture and installation practice through a range of media and techniques, whilst further developing their conceptual approach.
Students will be guided through more in depth approaches to observation and reflection, connecting their studio-based experiences with contextual knowledge of contemporary, critical discourse.
Students are expected to become increasingly competent in their ability to experiment, develop and realize resolved work, to identify their individual expression and to critically engage with artworks.
Study of this unit will involve guided individual and collaborative investigation.

Teaching
| Teaching Pattern | 3hr weekly studio sessions that comprise of technical workshops, studio lectures, group learning activities and individual studio time. There is an expectation of at least an additional 3hrs independent practical work in the studio weekly (13 weeks, including an Independent Study Week). |
