Advanced Practice A FSX402
Introduction
You will identify the creative practice skills needed to enable and/or complement your Honours research project. This is your opportunity to pursue the acquisition of highly specialised skills that are not otherwise taught, or to extend your existing skill base beyond what has previously been possible. You will design, through a proposal, a process for skill acquisition and application utilising the expertise of Creative Arts and Media technical and academic staff, and the specialist facilities in the Hedberg, Hunter St, Media School and Inveresk. You will share work with a cohort of peers during the semester, and document your process and outcomes for a final folio submission.
The process of self-directed skill acquisition enabled by this unit models the life-long learning you will need to undertake as a professional in the creative industries and/or in further higher degree by research study.
