  2. Analyse the effectiveness of public relations strategies and tactics in the broader context of journalism, media and communications theory and practice.
  3. Apply the research, writing, planning and strategic techniques used by PR practitioners to produce a PR material.
  4. Describe and evaluate the role of public relations in the broader context of media and communication in local and global contexts.

Task 1: Campaign Analysis, 2000 words (40%)

Task 2: Media release writing exercise, 300 words (20%)

Task 3: PR in the media exercise, 1500–1700 words (40%)
