Introduction

This unit introduces you to the principles, practices and theories of public relations and places the profession in its societal and media contexts. You will become familiar with public relations writing and developing skills in gathering, organising and presenting information. The dual emphasis on practical matters and their underpinning theory will allow you to develop and understanding and knowledge of how public relations practitioners interact with the media and the community.

((Admission into F4G - Bachelor of Media with Honours OR Admission into 13T - Bachelor of Media) AND 50 points in introductory HEJ units) OR ((Admission into a course other than F4G OR 13T) AND 25 points in introductory HEJ units)
