Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.

Special approval is required for enrolment into TNE Program units.

* The Final WW Date is the final date from which you can withdraw from the unit without academic penalty, however you will still incur a financial liability (see withdrawal dates explained for more information).

Learning Outcomes

1. Follow the sequential steps involved in producing a short work of fiction that is carefully crafted, improved through accepting and reflecting on feedback, polished through proofreading and attention to detail, and submitted on time.
2. Reflect critically on your experience of taking risks in your writing practice.
3. Reflect critically on creative writing produced by your peers.
4. Analyse the features of published writing, and show understanding of how your findings can be applied in your own writing practice.
5. Demonstrate skill in writing in English, to a standard expected in intermediate level study. Demonstrate attention to the details of editorial polish (spelling, punctuation, layout, spacing, etc.).
