  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the complex interplay of factors which underpin violence against women.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical foundations of current policies addressing violence against women.
  4. Identify the impact of legislative frameworks and the machinery of government on policies addressing violence against women.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of the limitations and potential for progressive anti-violence polices within the state.
  6. Identify ways in which you can contribute to strategies for addressing violence against women.

Weekly lecture (2 hours)

Weekly lecture (2 hours)
Weekly online discussion topics and exercises

Assessment

Task 1: Briefing paper, 2000 words (40%)

Task 2: Essay, 3000 words (50%)

Task 3: Class participation (10%)
