Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). Learning Outcomes

  1. Use collaborative, cooperative and culturally accountable approaches to implement innovative and sustainable interventions and strategies to ongoing social, cultural, political, economic and environmental problems.
  2. Interpret project and research findings and consider their implications for sustainable practice, service and policy improvements.
  3. Design the presentation of social work project and research outcomes in a succinct manner, including using creative and culturally relevant strategies such as displaying project artefacts, posters, sketches, story-telling, physical objects, film and digital media.

HGW423, HGW424, HGW431, and HGW433 or HGW425 (also HGW414 Research Honours)

Teaching

Teaching Pattern

Each week, you will complete an hour of online learning activities (including lectures, videos, podcasts and other activities). You will also have approximately two hours of prescribed reading to complete each week. In addition, you will attend 2 x 6-hour faceto- face intensives. In total, you will need to allow 32-40 hours per week to complete all of the learning and assessments for this unit, including independent study. 80% attendance is required to meet accreditation standards.

Note: HGW426 delivered fully online for 2020.
