This unit is only available via the University Connections Program (UCP) (formerly known as the UTAS/University College Program) to students who are undertaking Chinese 3 at pre-tertiary.
This program is subject to minimum numbers.
This unit builds upon the TCE language study to complete the requirements of first year university level Chinese. It will develop competence in beginners spoken and written Chinese. It is designed to prepare students for UTAS second year level Chinese study.
Students wishing to undertake further level 100 Chinese study will need to consult the program coordinator for Chinese.

Special approval is required for enrolment into TNE Program units.

TCE results (70%), UTAS workshop written and conversation assessment (30%). The final results will be modified to comply with the UTAS first year Chinese level.
