Chinese 3A HMC319
Introduction
This unit develops competence in advanced spoken and written Chinese (simplified characters). It is a workshop style, participatory language unit. The unit includes 1) discussions regarding grammar and 2) student and teacher-led exercises in speaking and listening, reading and writing. This unit builds on your previous study of Chinese in HMC101, 102, 219 and 220 to advance your competency in reading, writing and speaking Mandarin Chinese.

- Comprehend Chinese texts at an advanced level and understand the socio-cultural aspects involved.
