Japanese 2A HMJ204

Introduction

Building on from HMJ102, the unit further develops basic grammatical knowledge and oral/aural skills. Students will learn to communicate orally in Japanese on a series of everyday life topics including foods, studying, working, shopping, travel, and housing. Attention is also given to the reading and writing of Japanese. Students will learn an additional 95 new kanji and will have learnt over 220 kanji by the end of this unit.

Students' general proficiency in Japanese should go beyond the standard of JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) Level N5.
