Introduction
Provides the opportunity for students to undertake study in a prescribed topic of special interest in Policing. Unit is taught at advanced, pre-Honours level and is normally restricted to students who have demonstrated potential for honours. Enrolment in this unit requires the specific approval of both the relevant staff member (your supervisor) and the Police Studies Coordinator before enrolling. For this reason students are unable to enrol online. This unit builds on the work you learned in a range of policing, law, social science, policy, politics and/or criminology units. It provides you with an opportunity to analyse a case study, whilst taking your first research steps (by way of finding, perusing and analysing related literature, under the supervision of your lecturer).
