Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.

Special approval is required for enrolment into TNE Program units.

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate knowledge of crime scene examination policies , protocols and practices.

2. Identify and assess the strengths and weaknesses of the diverse types of forensic evidence employed in criminal investigations, illicit substance policing and the investigation of injuries, death and fire.

3. Critically analyse the factors that contribute to good practice in the collection, analysis and use of forensic evidence from crime scenes to courts (i.e. the forensic process).
