Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate and apply knowledge about social, cultural, historical, and ethical factors impacting on policing practices and understanding transformation movements and trends in policing.
  2. Critically analyse policing practices in terms of complex social, cultural, historical, and ethical concerns for police, victims, and offenders.
  3. Undertake secondary research using information literacy skills related to the subject matter.
  4. Communicate knowledge and research results related to the subject matter in the form of essays and online discussion.

Off Campus:    web-based delivery of 13 lectures, 1 online tutorial discussion weekly.

Task 1: Alternative policing response case study (30%)
