Introduction

Within this unit, you will undertake research and critical analysis on management and leadership issues, or issues relating to institutional policy that are relevant to your organisational workplace setting.

You will be required to develop a research topic in consultation with your workplace and/or in an area of study in which academics from Social Sciences and/or Law have requisite subject matter expertise (a list of subject areas and supervisors will be provided on the unit MyLO page).

This unit builds on your learning in a range of social science, policy, politics, police studies, and/or criminology units. It provides you with an opportunity to critically analyse a topic relevant to your area of work, and apply your analysis to evaluate related issues or policies in an authentic agency/industry/public sector context.
