Introduction

This practice-based subject introduces students to skills essential for legal practice. Workshops focus on lawyer’s skills such as interviewing clients, ethical decision making, problem-solving, risk and work management, writing and drafting, wellbeing in practice, negotiation and dispute resolution, and advocacy. In addition, the unit builds on students’ knowledge towards advanced theoretical and technical understandings about LegalTech and Business Skills practice such as applying technology to legal practice, getting started with LegalTech projects, and cyber risk and security in legal practice.
