“I really enjoy the fact-based learning in my degree, the anatomy and science-based classes."

Hannah Martin, Health Science Student
The information on this page is indicative of our course offerings for 2022. Information about our 2022 offerings will be updated in August 2021.
The Honours degree in Health Science is designed to provide students with the foundations necessary for research in Health Science disciplines and to gain greater expertise during two semesters full-time study (or equivalent). Candidates will be required to submit a research thesis on work undertaken as part of the honours course.

All candidates will be required to study a unit in statistics and data handling and another unit negotiated with the School. Other requirements for the course include a literature review directly related to the thesis, and a dissertation. Students will be required to present their research work at a seminar.

The Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) prepares students for a range of career paths in the health sector, including health promotion, administration, project work, management and research, as well as for entry to graduate programs in medicine, allied health and other health specialties.
