Study Healthcare in Remote and Extreme Environments

This course is ideally suited to doctors, nurses and paramedics of diverse backgrounds looking to expand their skills and knowledge to include the ability to provide healthcare in remote and extreme environments. You’ll learn the skills necessary to plan, organise and deliver healthcare in these environments while having the opportunity to complete the course flexibly, online and part-time. We also offer the opportunity to enhance learning outcomes by undertaking units with residential and practical components while you study. Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate may articulate into the Graduate Diploma.

Entry requirements

Candidates must have completed a nationally accredited health professional degree* from an Australian university, AQF7 level or the equivalent standard in any other institution.

*This program is designed for doctors, nurses, and paramedics. Although not essential, some remote clinical experience is advisable prior to commencing.

Fees & scholarships

Domestic students

Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
