Whilst primarily based in Hobart, the course has a whole of Tasmania focus, including at least 150 hours of real-world placement working and learning from practicing Environmental Health Officers throughout the state. You will receive on the job mentoring and make vital connections for future employment opportunities. Developed in partnership with industry and the profession, this career could take you anywhere from Franklin to Finland.

Entry requirements
Entry Requirements
A completed recognised bachelor degree (AQF7) (or higher award) in a health or science discipline; and
A minimum 50 credit points (equivalent of one semester full-time study) of recognised basic science units that were included at Bachelor level and must include:
- a minimum of 12.5 credit points (one unit) of chemistry; and
- a further 37.5 credit points (equivalent to three units) in other science areas (e.g. microbiology, physics, anatomy and physiology, life science).

Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
