The pace of change in the public health domain is staggering, as are the many global public health issues facing the world today. If you are seeking to lead in the fields of disease prevention, health promotion, health research and evaluation, health policy, environmental health and health systems, a University of Tasmania Master of Public Health will help prepare you to have impact and to make a difference.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of an AQF 7 bachelor degree in health or equivalent.

For International Applicants Only: you are also required to have IELTS 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0)

Fees & scholarships

Domestic students

Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.

Domestic students enrolled in certain postgraduate coursework programs may not be eligible for student payments through Youth Allowance and Austudy. Visit the Department of Social Services website to find out more about eligibility for Centrelink support and the list of eligible courses

International students

2020 Total Course Fee (international students): $ 65,018 AUD *.

Course cost based on a rate of $31,950 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).

International students

International students are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the annual rate. International students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
