Working in healthcare in remote and extreme environments is a great challenge, even for the most seasoned professional. You need to have the right knowledge and skills underpinning your actions and that’s why we offer the Master of Healthcare in Remote and Extreme Environments
Study Healthcare in Remote and Extreme Environments
This course is ideally suited to doctors, nurses and paramedics of diverse backgrounds looking to expand their skills and knowledge to include the ability to provide healthcare in remote and extreme environments. You’ll further enhance your knowledge and skills to plan, organise and deliver healthcare in these environments while having the opportunity to complete the course flexibly, online and part-time. We also offer the opportunity to enhance learning outcomes by undertaking units with residential and practical components while you study.
The final Masters year is intended to allow students to either develop expertise in a specific area of study through the completion of a research project or to demonstrate their mastery of the subject through a workplace and portfolio-based assessment process.
Students will have completed the coursework required for the Diploma and will then choose either the Research Pathway or the Professional Pathway
