This capstone knowledge unit focuses on consolidation of knowledge and clinical paramedicine in preparation for paramedic practice. The unit is modularised in three parts. The first focusses on professional development as a graduate paramedic, encapsulating behaviours and attitudes associated with the UTAS graduate. The second module is a student-led learning component designed to give you the opportunity to study a domain applicable to your own individual development as a paramedic and paramedicine as a profession: the domains are research, leadership, education, primary care and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander well-being. You can select a domain that is an area of strength, interest and/or anticipated specialisation in your paramedic career. The final module of this unit will prepare you for the work-force with a focus on managing your internship (or equivalent) and future development as a paramedic.
