Advanced Topics in Public Health and Dementia CAD704
Introduction
This unit develops critical thinking and deeper evaluation of research for advanced students studying public health approaches to dementia. Students form a peer critique group to examine articles in domains of particular interest. Papers are selected to evaluate in an online journal club environment, with input and guidance from academics experienced in the field. Students then propose individual topics in public health responses to dementia risk, awareness or friendliness relevant to their professional and/or personal interest, undertake a critical literature review and evaluation, and design a public health intervention.
