Introduction

This unit provides a framework for understanding the links between knowledge and practice. It is about considering the when, why and, importantly, how of translational research in practice. It is also designed to encourage the development of the capacity of health service leaders to identify and evaluate emerging knowledge relevant to their practice, and to implement change based on this knowledge within their sphere of influence.
