Introduction
This unit introduces students to the healthcare redesign methodology and its process. Students will learn about effective redesign methods, theories, and frameworks in a global context to prepare them to initiate healthcare redesign in practice. Students will learn about evaluating initiatives and human and relational factors in complex people centred environments. Students will be educated about broader system issues and reform such as timelier care, better access, and more efficient use of healthcare and other resources. There will be a focus on system efficiency, better patient experience, patient journey, value-adding healthcare, and evaluation.

- Evaluate the application of evidence-based knowledge and skills within diverse contexts to improve health service delivery.
- Describe, critique, and analyse the theories, frameworks and concepts used in healthcare redesign.
- Explain and appraise the healthcare redesign tools and techniques commonly used in the healthcare setting and determine their appropriate applications.
- Identify and develop strategies for collective engagement in the healthcare redesign process.
