Introduction
This Molecular Biology and Protein Biochemistry (CBA341) unit provides students with an understanding of how contemporary approaches in molecular biology and protein biochemistry are being used to address problems in human health and wellbeing. This includes an introduction to genomics and proteomics. The use of molecular biology and protein biochemistry tools to probe current research problems in biological and biomedical sciences will be highlighted. The knowledge gained in this unit will complement the practical skills developed in the related unit Techniques in Molecular Biology and Protein Chemistry (CBA342).
