Neuroscience A CHP311

Neuroscience A is intended for students studying biomedical sciences or psychology and provides a comprehensive introduction to core topics in neuroscience. Lectures cover the structure, development and cellular constituents of nervous systems, in the context of function, physiology and evolution. Sensory systems, motor control, learning, memory, behaviour, neuronal processing, comparative neuroanatomy and evolution of the nervous system are integrated in the lecture stream. Practical sessions offer hands-on aspects of lab neuroscience techniques, as well as demonstrations which supplement the lectures.

Students who have not previously passed CHG105 and CHG106 but wish to enrol in this unit, should contact the Unit Coordinator to discuss entry requirements.
